This Brute Networks SFP+ module delivers 10 Gbps connectivity over single-mode fibre up to 20 km. It uses a 1270 nm transmit and 1330 nm receive wavelength pair in a bi-directional LC simplex design. The unit operates across a commercial temperature range of 0 to 70 °C and is built to meet MSA industry standards for plug-and-play deployment in compatible Cisco equipment.

MSA Compliance and Digital Monitoring

The transceiver follows the multi-source agreement form factor, allowing it to seat in any standard SFP+ cage that accepts 10GBASE-BX-D optics. Digital output monitoring is implemented, so the host system can read real-time temperature, voltage, and optical power levels without extra cabling. Hot-Plug Installation with LC Simplex Cabling

Installation is a hot-plug operation: insert the module until it clicks, then connect a single LC simplex patch cord to the exposed port. Dust caps should stay on until the moment of connection to avoid contaminating the optical interface.
