A 30 A, 250 V industrial locking plug with nylon housing and a cord range of .300 to .950 in
The Bryant 70630NP is a 30 amp, 250 volt AC locking plug built for industrial-grade power connections. It uses an L6-30P configuration with two poles and three wires to deliver a secure, single-phase link for heavy-duty equipment. The nylon housing resists impact and wear in demanding environments.
This plug replaces damaged or non-locking connectors on machinery drawing up to 2.0 horsepower at 250 volts. The step up is justified when vibration or movement risks dislodging a standard straight-blade plug and interrupting critical operations. It accepts cord diameters from .300 to .950 inches for flexible cable management.
Under continuous 30 amp draw the nylon body maintains structural integrity without softening or deforming. The locking mechanism holds firm through thermal cycling and mechanical stress, preventing nuisance disconnections during extended shifts. No IP rating is claimed, so the unit should be mounted where liquids and conductive dust are excluded.

The plug accommodates cord sizes from .300 in to .950 in, so the cable jacket must fall within that range for a secure grip.
Connect the two hot conductors to the brass terminals and the ground wire to the green terminal; the common mistake is swapping a hot leg onto the ground screw.
Check for cracking, discoloration or melted terminals after any overload event or if the 30 A / 250 V rating has been exceeded; replace the plug if the nylon shows heat damage.
