Bryant BRY8200IG Isolated Ground Receptacle

This Bryant receptacle provides a 15 A, 125 V AC connection with an isolated ground for sensitive equipment. The NEMA 5-15R duplex outlet features a straight-blade orientation and screw-terminal wiring. An orange composite housing identifies the isolated-ground circuit and resists impact. It mounts flush in a single-gang box and carries UL and CSA listings.

Suits commercial or industrial sites needing noise

Electricians wiring audio, video or data circuits where ground-loop noise must be avoided will find this device appropriate. The isolated ground keeps the equipment ground separate from the conduit system. Installers who only need a standard grounded duplex without the separate ground path should select a conventional 5-15R receptacle instead.

Key spec: isolated ground

The defining feature is the isolated ground terminal combined with the standard 5-15R pin layout. This allows the receptacle to fit ordinary 15 A plugs while delivering a dedicated ground conductor back to the panel. Verify that the building wiring includes an isolated-ground conductor before specifying this model.

Questions about this item

Will the orange 5-15R duplex receptacle fit alongside standard white outlets in a multi-gang box?

Yes, the single-gang flush-mount body matches standard dimensions, so it sits flush with any other NEMA 5-15R device in the same box.

How can I confirm the isolated ground is functioning after wiring the screw terminals?

Use a low-impedance tester between the grounding contact and the isolated ground screw; they should show no continuity, while the grounding contact bonds to the box.

Does the composite orange housing come with a matching wall plate and mounting screws?

The receptacle ships without a cover; a standard 1-gang duplex wall plate and mounting screws must be purchased separately.
