20 A tamper-resistant receptacle
The Bryant CBRS20GRYWRTR is a 20 A, 125 V AC straight-blade duplex receptacle rated for 2-pole, 3-wire grounded circuits. Its grey nylon housing carries NEMA 5-20R configuration with tamper-resistant and weather-resistant construction. The device is UL Listed and CSA Certified for commercial and residential branch-circuit wiring.
Verify circuit rating and box capacity
Confirm the branch circuit is protected at 20 A and that the supply conductors are sized for the load. The receptacle uses screw terminals for back- and side-wiring; ensure the existing device box provides sufficient volume for the conductor count and the flush-mount single-gang format. Polarised slots require correct hot-neutral orientation during installation.
No cover plate or GFCI included
The package supplies the receptacle only; a matching cover plate must be sourced separately to complete the installation. Because the unit is not a GFCI device, downstream ground-fault protection must be provided by a breaker or upstream GFCI where code requires it. Tamper-resistant shutters and weather-resistant materials address child-safety and damp-location requirements without extra accessories.

Questions about this item
Does the package include a cover plate or mounting screws, or must I buy them separately?
The receptacle ships without a cover plate; you will need to purchase a compatible wall plate and mounting screws separately.
How do I know whether the 5-20R configuration suits my circuit?
The 5-20R rating matches a 20 A, 125 V AC branch circuit; verify your breaker and wiring are rated for 20 amps before installing.
What does the 20 A rating mean when the receptacle is installed?
It indicates the maximum continuous current the contacts are designed to carry safely on a properly protected 20 amp circuit.
