The Buchanan BTC500-1/0 is an insulation-displacement wire connector rated for a maximum run conductor of 500 kcmil and a maximum tap conductor of 350 kcmil. It accepts a single run wire from 2/0 AWG up to 500 kcmil and a single tap wire from 1/0 AWG up to 350 kcmil. The connector is designed for electrical and industrial wiring applications requiring a run-tap configuration.

UV-Stable Polymer Housing With 3.9 Inch Length

The black connector body uses UV-stable polymer insulation material suitable for outdoor exposure. Its 3.9 inch length accommodates the large conductor range while the insulation-piercing design eliminates the need to strip wire insulation before installation. Maximum run wire insulation diameter is .925 in and maximum tap wire insulation diameter is .8 in for secure contact.

600 Volt Maximum Rating at 194 Degrees F
