Two-Pack Short USB 2.0 Type-B Cables

This two-pack supplies 25 cm USB 2.0 Type-B extension cables for connecting printers, scanners or 3.5-inch mobile hard drives to a computer. Each cable has a right-angle male plug and a straight female socket so the lead bends close to the device port. The short length keeps desks tidy in tight workspaces.

Right-Angle Male Connector Saves Space

The 90-degree male Type-B plug routes the cable parallel to the equipment instead of projecting straight out. This prevents the lead from fouling adjacent ports, cables or cabinet doors. The female end accepts any standard USB 2.0 Type-B male plug for a straight-through extension.

Handles 480 Mbps Transfers for Everyday Peripherals

Rated for USB 2.0 high-speed at 480 Mbps, the cables also fall back to 12 Mbps and 1.5 Mbps for older 1.1 and 1.0 devices. They suit typical printing, scanning and external hard-drive file transfers. Builders needing longer runs or USB 3.0 throughput should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What does the 480 Mbps rating mean when I plug this into my printer?

It lets the cable carry USB 2.0 high-speed data so print jobs and scanner transfers move at the full 480 Mbps the port allows.

Which USB standard does the right-angle connector use and what speed does it cap at?

The cable is built to the USB 2.0 specification, so the practical ceiling is 480 Mbps even though it also works with 1.1 and 1.0 devices.

How much clearance does the 90-degree Type-B plug need behind my device?

The right-angle design bends the cable 90 degrees at the male end, letting it sit flat against the port so it fits in tight spaces behind printers or drives.
