Two antennas for 2.4 GHz networks

This pair of omnidirectional antennas operates in the 2400-2500 MHz band with 2.5 dBi gain. They connect via U.FL-4 to RP-SMA male plugs and are suited for ZigBee routers or similar 2.4 GHz wireless modules.

Right-angle folded leads and copper elements

Each antenna has a 90 degree folded lead approximately 15 cm long. The radiating element uses copper and the connector type is SMA. Vertical polarisation and direct-ground lightning protection are built in.

2.5 dBi gain at 2.4 GHz

The gain figure of 2.5 dBi and 50 ohm impedance determine whether this pair matches your link budget. Buyers needing higher gain or a different frequency band should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What frequency range does the 2.4GHz antenna cover and what is its peak gain?

The antenna operates from 2400 to 2500 MHz with a gain of 2.5 dBi.

What connector types are on each end of the 15 cm lead?

One end has a U.FL-4 connector and the other has an RP SMA male connector with a 90 degree right angle fold.

How do you attach the antenna to a device with a U.FL-4 port?

Press the U.FL-4 plug straight onto the board socket until it clicks; the 90 degree fold then lets the RP SMA end sit flat against the chassis.
