What this cable does

This BUCIER USB-C 3.2 Gen2×2 extension cable adds one metre of reach between a host device and a USB-C peripheral. It carries data at up to 20 Gbps, delivers up to 240 W of power at 48 V/5 A, and passes 4K video at 60 Hz when the source supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. The male-to-female design means you still need a standard USB-C male-to-male cable to complete the link.

Check before you buy

Your host port must support USB 3.2 Gen2×2 speeds and DisplayPort Alternate Mode if you want 4K@60 Hz video output. The power adapter you use must be rated for 240 W at 48 V/5 A to reach the maximum charging rate. Any male-to-male cable you attach to the female end should not exceed two metres in total combined length, and all connected devices must be rated for the same 20 Gbps data speed to achieve the advertised throughput.

When the extra metre matters

This cable replaces a shorter fixed-length USB-C lead when you need to route the connection around a desk, through a cable tray or to a wall-mounted monitor. The upgrade is worth it when the existing cable is too short for the physical layout and you require the full 20 Gbps data rate, 240 W charging headroom and 4K@60 Hz video simultaneously. It does not help if your devices only support lower USB speeds or lack DisplayPort Alternate Mode.
