The Edge of Fate expansion

Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate is a PC adventure expansion that continues the Guardian saga through a new chapter launching on 14 July 2025. The Steam code unlocks a narrative-driven experience where players investigate a mysterious signal at the edge of the solar system. Pre-order access grants immediate entry to the new Kepler destination and its associated story content.

For solo and fireteam Guardians

World tiers let each player choose a difficulty level that matches their skill and time investment, rewarding higher tiers with extra narrative threads, secrets and more powerful gear. The expansion requires a Steam account and at least 105 GB of free storage space as of the November 2020 baseline, with requirements subject to increase. Players without reliable broadband for the download or who prefer physical media should consider other options.

Steam DRM and storage baseline

Activation is tied exclusively to the Steam platform, so a valid third-party Steam account is mandatory before the code can be redeemed. The 105 GB minimum storage figure is the only concrete system requirement supplied; all other hardware specifications remain unconfirmed by the publisher.
