Two-hole copper compression lug for 4 AWG wire, 3.000 in long, .58 in tongue, 1 in hole spacing, rated 35 kV AC and 194 °F, UL 486 listed
This Burndy compression connector is built for stranded copper conductors at 4 AWG. It accepts a 3/8 inch stud with a 1 inch hole centre-to-centre spacing. The grey colour code and die code 346 identify the correct crimping tool. It is suited for electrical contractors and industrial maintenance crews making permanent power connections.
The lug carries a maximum operating temperature of 194 degrees Fahrenheit and is rated for 35 kV AC. Its solid copper body dissipates heat through the crimped joint without added resistance. No moving parts or forced cooling are involved, so silent operation is inherent.
This component meets CSA certification and UL 486A-486B standards for wire connectors. The barrel includes an inspection hole to verify full conductor insertion before crimping. It is not designed for aluminium conductors or wire sizes outside 4 AWG.

Use a compression tool with die code 346; insert the stripped copper conductor fully until visible in the inspection hole, then crimp straight on the barrel.
The copper barrel is maintenance-free; only verify the inspection hole still shows conductor after any vibration or thermal cycling.
The maximum operating temperature is 194 degrees F; sustained current above that level degrades the connection first.
