Grounding clamp connects 14 to 1/0 AWG conductors to 1/2 in to 1 in pipe, UL 467 listed, pack of five
This Burndy GC15A clamp connects a single grounding conductor to water pipe or conduit ranging from 1/2 in to 1 in. It accepts solid wire from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG and stranded wire from 8 AWG up to 4/0 AWG. The aluminium body uses a slotted steel screw for secure attachment. Suitable for electricians and maintenance crews needing a UL Listed mechanical grounding connector.
The aluminium construction resists corrosion while the slotted steel screw provides reliable mechanical pressure on the conductor. No special tools are required beyond a standard screwdriver for installation. The clamp is rated for use with both aluminium and copper grounding wires. Normal operation produces no noise and draws no power as it is a passive component.
The connector meets UL 467 requirements for grounding and bonding equipment, meaning it maintains conductivity under continuous load conditions. The mechanical screw connection remains stable over time without thermal cycling issues common to compression fittings. Designed for permanent installation on pipe or conduit where long-term grounding integrity is required.

Place the clamp around the pipe, insert the grounding wire into the connector, then tighten the slotted steel screw firmly; the step often missed is verifying the screw bites clean metal on both pipe and conductor.
Inspect the aluminum body and steel screw periodically for corrosion or loosening; retighten the screw if it backs out and replace the clamp if the threads strip or the metal shows pitting.
The connector is rated for conductors from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG; exceeding that wire size or the 1 in maximum pipe diameter is the first limit reached under sustained use.
