Burndy GG181 Copper Ground Clamp

The Burndy GG181 is a copper ground clamp designed for direct-burial applications. It connects a single grounding wire up to 1 inch braid to pipes or ground rods ranging from 2 inches to 2 3/8 inches. The clamp is UL 467 listed for safety compliance. Installation requires a torque of 240 in-lb.

Ideal for Electrical Grounding Installations

This clamp suits electricians and contractors who need a reliable mechanical connection for grounding conductors to pipes or rods in direct-burial environments. It is not intended for users who require a clamp for larger pipe diameters beyond 2 3/8 inches or for connecting multiple grounding wires simultaneously.

Verify Pipe Size and Conductor Compatibility

Before ordering, confirm that the pipe or ground rod diameter falls within the 2 inches to 2 3/8 inches range. Ensure the grounding wire size does not exceed 1 inch braid. Check that your installation method can accommodate the required 240 in-lb torque specification.
