Burndy KA4C Copper Lug for 4 AWG Wire

The Burndy KA4C is a copper mechanical lug rated for a single stranded copper conductor between 14 AWG and 4 AWG. It accepts a 1/4 inch stud and provides one termination point for electrical and industrial wiring tasks.

Check conductor size and stud fit before ordering

Verify that the stranded copper wire falls within the 14 to 4 AWG range and that the mounting hardware uses a 1/4 inch stud with a 0.28 inch hole diameter. The lug has a slotted head and a single hole with no spacing requirement.

Rated 600 V and 194 °F maximum operating temperature

The copper body and 0.11 inch tongue thickness support continuous operation up to 194 degrees Fahrenheit at 600 volts. One conductor and one termination keep the connection simple for standard power distribution.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy the mounting bolt separately?

The package contains the copper mechanical lug only. A 1/4 in stud bolt and nut are not included and must be sourced separately.

How do I decide between the 14 AWG minimum and 4 AWG maximum wire sizes?

Choose a stranded copper conductor between 14 AWG and 4 AWG that matches your circuit ampacity; the lug accepts the full range.

What does the 600 V rating mean once the lug is installed?

It indicates the connector is UL-rated for circuits up to 600 volts when properly torqued on copper wire within the 14–4 AWG range.
