Split-bolt connector joins 2 AWG to 1/0 AWG aluminium or copper conductors, rated 35 kV and 194 °F with 385 in-lb torque
The Burndy KSA1/0 split-bolt connector joins aluminium or copper conductors in power distribution work. It accepts run wires from 2 AWG up to 1/0 AWG and tap wires from 8 AWG to 1/0 AWG. The tin-plated aluminium body is rated for 35 kV maximum voltage and 194 degrees F operating temperature.
Confirm that both run and tap conductors fall within the stated AWG ranges before ordering. A torque wrench capable of 385 in-lb is required to meet the specified clamping force. The square-head nut measures 1 in across flats, so the correct socket or spanner must be on hand.
The connector body is aluminium with a tin-plated finish for corrosion resistance in outdoor or industrial environments. Its square-head nut allows positive engagement with standard tools, reducing the risk of rounding during high-torque tightening. Overall length is 1.92 in and width is .75 in, fitting typical line-work clearances. RoHS compliant.

The connector body, square-head bolt and 1 in hex nut are included; you must supply the 2 AWG to 1/0 AWG run and 8 AWG to 1/0 AWG tap conductors and a torque wrench calibrated to 385 in-lb.
Choose the KSA1/0 because it accepts a maximum run and tap size of 1/0 AWG and is rated for both aluminum and copper conductors.
It certifies the assembly for continuous operation up to 35 kV at temperatures not exceeding 194 °F when torqued to 385 in-lb.
