Copper compression lug with a 5.000-inch long barrel, two 1/2-inch stud holes spaced 1.75 inches apart, rated to 35 kV and 194 °F
This Burndy compression lug is built for 2/0 AWG stranded copper conductors in commercial electrical installations. It carries CSA certification and meets UL 486A-486B standards with a maximum voltage rating of 35 kV. The straight tongue design and 1.75 in hole spacing suit two-hole mounting patterns on busbars or equipment terminals.
The 0.83 in tongue width fits standard 1/2 in stud hardware, while the long barrel provides extended crimp area for reliable mechanical and electrical connection. Copper construction ensures high conductivity and the black colour code matches die code 13 tooling for consistent crimps. No inspection hole is present, so visual verification of wire insertion must occur before crimping.
The dual-hole pattern prevents lug rotation under vibration or thermal cycling, a common failure point with single-stud terminations. Installers moving from short-barrel designs gain additional crimp length for improved pull-out strength on 2/0 AWG cables. This lug does not serve applications requiring an inspection window or conductors outside the 2/0 AWG range.

The lug is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 194 °F, so it will maintain its mechanical and electrical integrity at that limit during sustained use.
As a passive copper compression lug it generates no heat of its own and draws no power; any temperature rise comes only from the current flowing through the conductor.
Use die code 13 with 2/0 AWG stranded copper wire; the lug is UL 486A-486B and CSA certified for that exact combination.
