Two-hole copper compression lug with long barrel, 1 in hole spacing, CSA certified and UL listed for 35 kV AC
This Burndy long-barrel compression lug is built for stranded copper conductors at 3/0 AWG. It suits commercial electrical and telecom installations that require a straight, two-hole copper termination rated to 35 kV AC. The orange color code and die code 14 identify the correct crimp tooling. It is UL listed and CSA certified for code-compliant work.
The lug uses a crimp termination style and omits an inspection hole, so visual verification of conductor insertion is not possible after crimping. Installers must rely on proper tool calibration and the die code 14 to ensure a reliable joint. The straight tongue and 0.9 in width fit standard 3/8 in stud patterns with a 1 in hole center-to-center spacing.
Rated for a maximum operating temperature of 194 °F, the connector handles typical telecom and industrial ambient conditions. It accepts only 3/0 AWG stranded copper wire, so it cannot accommodate larger or smaller conductors. The copper body provides high conductivity for loads within the 35 kV AC rating.

The copper lug is designed for a permanent crimp termination; with proper installation using die code 14 it should not require re-crimping or replacement under normal conditions.
The maximum operating temperature of 194 °F is the primary thermal limit during sustained full-load operation.
The copper body runs at the conductor temperature; at 194 °F maximum it will be hot to touch but needs no active cooling if ambient conditions stay within spec.
