The Burndy One Conductor Lug is a new commercial mechanical connector rated for 600 V and 194 °F maximum operating temperature. It accepts a single aluminium or copper conductor from 2 AWG up to 600 kcmil and secures it with a hex-socket set screw. The aluminium body measures 3.19 in overall with a 1.72 in tongue length, 1.52 in tongue width and .44 in tongue thickness. One 0.42 in mounting hole fits a 3/8 in stud.

Replaces Crimp Lugs When Tooling Is Unavailable

This lug replaces crimp-style terminals where a hydraulic crimper is not on hand or where the installation must be serviceable. The hex-socket set screw allows the connection to be tightened, inspected and re-torqued with a standard Allen key. The jump is worth it when the job calls for a single-conductor, one-hole aluminium lug that can be installed and removed without specialised crimping equipment.
