Ground clamp for 8.5 in pipe

The Burndy pipe ground clamp fits water pipes from 1/2 in to 1 in and accepts a single copper grounding conductor between 8 AWG and 4 AWG, solid or stranded. It provides a mechanical connection for grounding electrode systems in commercial electrical work. The bronze body resists corrosion in damp environments.

Thermals noise and power

As a passive mechanical connector the clamp generates no heat, produces no audible noise and draws no electrical power during operation. Its function is limited to maintaining a low-resistance path to ground under normal service conditions.

Bronze build and strap mounting

The bronze construction withstands exposure to moisture and soil chemicals common in grounding applications. An integrated strap helps protect the conduit system from vibrations transmitted by the water pipe, reducing mechanical stress on the grounding conductor over time. UL 467 listed.
