Two-Conductor Aluminium Lug
This Burndy mechanical connector accepts two aluminium or copper conductors ranging from 6 AWG to 250 kcmil. It mounts on a single 3/8 inch stud with a slotted head and a 0.4 inch hole. The aluminium body is rated for 600 volts and a maximum operating temperature of 194 degrees Fahrenheit.
Installers needing dual-wire termination
Electricians joining two heavy-gauge cables to one stud will find the 1.5 inch tongue length and 1.66 inch width suitable. The lug is not designed for solid conductors, for multi-hole patterns, or for voltages above 600 V, so projects requiring those features must look elsewhere.
2.56 inch overall length
The fixed 2.56 inch length determines whether the connector fits inside the available enclosure or panel space. If the mounting depth is shorter, this lug cannot be installed regardless of wire size or current rating.

Questions about this item
Does the aluminum body reach its 194 °F limit during continuous 600 V load?
The lug is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 194 °F and a maximum voltage of 600 V; normal current within the 6 AWG to 250 kcmil range keeps it well below that thermal ceiling.
What cable sizes and stud hardware must I have on hand to install this two-conductor lug?
It accepts stranded copper from 6 AWG up to 250 kcmil and mounts on a 3/8 in stud with a .4 in hole; the slotted head requires a standard flat-blade driver.
Will the 1.5 in tongue and 1.66 in width fit the existing bus-bar spacing on my panel?
The lug provides a 1.5 in tongue length, 1.66 in tongue width and .25 in thickness with a single mounting hole, so it matches panels drilled for that bolt pattern.
