Buyers Products Company CB90PB Circuit Breaker 90 A car electronics accessory

SKU CH-4B7S-DSK5D

Protects auxiliary circuits in dump trucks, snow plows and trucks with a 90 A manual-reset breaker rated for 42V DC

  • 90 A rating protects heavy-duty auxiliary circuits
  • Manual push-to-trip actuator allows instant circuit isolation
  • 42 V DC rating suits truck and plow electrical systems
  • Bolt-on surface mount simplifies installation on dump trucks
  • Plastic housing resists corrosion in harsh environments

Circuit Breaker for Heavy-Duty Auxiliary Circuits

The Buyers Products CB90PB is a 90 A manual-reset circuit breaker designed for auxiliary and accessory circuits on dump trucks, snow plows and trucks. It mounts with a bolt-on surface configuration and uses a push-to-trip actuator for deliberate disconnection.

Stud Terminals and Manual Reset Change

A stud terminal connection suits ring-lug wiring common on heavy equipment, while the manual reset requires physical access after a trip. The push-to-trip actuator lets a technician open the circuit without removing conductors, which simplifies testing and lock-out procedures.

42 V DC Rating Limits Use to Low-Voltage DC Systems

The breaker is rated for 42 V DC with a 90 A interrupt capacity at that voltage, so it cannot protect circuits operating at higher voltages or on AC systems. Its plastic housing and surface-mount style also restrict it to environments where those materials and clearances are acceptable.

Questions about this item

How often should the 90 A manual-reset breaker be inspected or replaced on a dump truck?

Inspect the breaker at each scheduled service interval; replace it if the push-to-trip actuator no longer latches or if the plastic housing shows cracking from vibration.

What is the first limit reached when the accessory circuit runs continuously at 90 A?

The interrupt rating of 90 A at 42 V DC is the hard ceiling — sustained current above that level will open the breaker.

How much heat does the bolt-on CB series breaker generate during all-day plow operation?

The stud terminals and plastic housing dissipate heat passively; no active cooling is required and surface temperature stays within the 42 V DC design envelope.
