Under-Desk Storage Shelf 17x10.1 in

The BYMECOST A-ZXSNJ-TP mounts beneath a desk without drilling, adding a single 17-by-10.1-inch powder-coated alloy shelf. It suits home-office workers, gamers or streamers who want to clear laptops, controllers, hubs or drives off the desktop while keeping them within reach. Assembly is required before use.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The shelf is rated for up to 44 lbs, so it holds heavier gear such as amplifiers, mixers or stacked drives continuously without deflection. Its hollow construction allows airflow around warm devices and reduces dust build-up during long sessions. Anti-scratch pads protect the desk frame where the clip grips.

Build Quality and Daily Implications

Powder-coated alloy resists scratches and wipes clean, while the no-drill clip system lets you reposition or remove the shelf in seconds. At 1.96 in thick it stays low-profile under most desks, and the 16.7-in usable depth accommodates a Mac mini, MacBook or iPad alongside cables and power bricks. No drawers or extra shelves are included.

Questions about this item

Does the powder-coated alloy shelf generate any noise or heat during all-day use?

The shelf is a passive metal tray with no moving parts or electronics, so it produces no noise and no heat of its own; its open-grid design simply lets air circulate around whatever you place on it.

What desk thickness or frame type must I already have for the no-drill clips to grip securely?

The spring-loaded clips grab the horizontal underside of a desk or table frame; they work on typical wood or metal tops up to the clip's maximum opening and require no tools or pre-drilled holes.

Will a legacy Mac mini or older external hard drive fit and stay cool on the 16.7-by-10.1-inch platform?

The platform measures 16.7 by 10.1 inches and supports up to 44 lbs, so most legacy Mac mini models and 3.5-inch drives fit with room to spare, while the perforated steel surface promotes passive airflow around them.
