Cable Matters 200007-BLACK-10 USB 3.0 A to B Cable 10ft Black

Cable Matters USB 3.0 A to B Cable 10ft

This 10ft black cable connects USB 3.0 Type-B devices such as external hard drives, docking stations, powered hubs, scanners and monitors to a computer USB-A port. It supports SuperSpeed data transfer up to 5 Gbps and is built with gold-plated connectors, bare copper conductors and foil and braid shielding for reliable performance. The moulded strain relief and grip treads make plugging and unplugging secure and easy. It is designed for users who need a long, durable link for SuperSpeed peripherals.

Check your device port before ordering

This cable carries a USB 3.0 Type-B connector and will not fit USB 2.0 Type-B ports found on many older printers and scanners. Verify that your peripheral has the wider USB 3.0 Type-B socket, which is visually distinct from the smaller USB 2.0 version. Ensure your computer provides a USB-A 3.0 port to achieve the rated 5 Gbps speed; the cable will operate at lower speeds on USB 2.0 hosts. The 10ft length suits setups where the device sits farther from the host.

Gold-plated connectors

Gold plating on the nine-pin connectors resists corrosion and maintains low contact resistance over repeated insertions. Bare copper conductors, cotton filler, foil and braid shielding wrapped in a flexible PVC jacket reduce electromagnetic interference and support error-free data transmission. These construction choices also enable fast charging on compatible powered hubs and docks. The cable ships ready to use with no additional software or drivers required.
