What it is and who it’s for
This USB-C to DisplayPort 1.2 cable links a USB-C host to a DisplayPort monitor, TV or projector. It supports up to 4K at 60 Hz and lower rates such as 2K at 165 Hz or 144 Hz, plus 1080p. The connection works for screen mirroring or desktop extension without drivers. It is not bidirectional, so the USB-C end must be the source.
Interface limits and practical use
DisplayPort 1.2 caps the maximum throughput, so 4K is limited to 60 Hz and higher refresh rates only appear at reduced resolutions. The cable is Thunderbolt 3 and 4 compatible, allowing it to carry video from those ports on supported hosts. Multi-stream transport is supported on compatible USB-C PCs, enabling multiple displays from one port. Hosts without DisplayPort alt mode or Thunderbolt video output cannot use the cable.
Build and day-to-day implications
Aluminium connector shells give a rigid feel and resist wear from repeated insertion. At six feet the length suits typical desk-to-monitor runs without excess slack. Plug-and-play operation means no software setup, but the one-way design requires the user to identify the correct source end before connecting. The fixed cable cannot be swapped for a longer or shorter run.

Questions about this item
Which length should I pick for my desk setup?
The cable is offered in a six-foot length, which suits most desktop or laptop-to-monitor distances without excess slack.
What does 4K@60Hz mean for my daily work?
It delivers a 4K image refreshed sixty times per second, giving smooth video playback and crisp text for office tasks, photo editing and casual gaming.
How does the DisplayPort 1.2 interface limit performance?
DisplayPort 1.2 caps the link at 4K@60Hz and 2K@165Hz, so higher refresh rates at 4K or 8K resolution are not possible over this cable.
