Active USB 2.0 Extension for Long Runs

This Cables To Go 39935 cable extends a USB 2.0 connection to 50 ft while maintaining specification compliance. It is built for installers and IT teams who need reliable data links beyond the standard 16.5 ft limit in commercial environments. The male-to-female design connects directly to existing host ports and peripheral cables without adapters.

Plenum-Rated Jacket Simplifies Code-Compliant

The CMP-rated jacket allows the cable to be pulled through air-handling spaces such as drop ceilings and raised floors without conduit. Because the active electronics draw power from the host USB port, no external power supply or wall outlet is required at the far end. The single integrated booster means there are no mid-cable boxes to secure or hide during installation.

50 ft USB 2.0 Active Extension with Plenum Rating

The decisive specification is the 50 ft active extension length combined with a plenum-rated jacket, which together determine whether the cable can legally and reliably span the required distance in a commercial building. Buyers who need longer runs, higher bandwidth such as USB 3.x, or non-plenum cable for residential use should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 50ft USB 2.0 active extension is working correctly after connecting it?

The cable actively buffers signals to maintain USB 2.0 electrical and timing minimums; if your low-speed or high-speed device enumerates and transfers data without errors at the full 50ft distance, the extension is functioning as intended.

What comes with the C2G 39935 and do I need any extra parts for a typical installation?

The box contains the 50ft USB-A male to female active extension cable with a CMP-rated plenum jacket; it draws all required power from the USB port itself, so no external power supply or additional cables are needed.

Which version of this cable should I choose if I need a plenum-rated run longer than the standard USB limit?

The 39935 model is the 50ft USB 2.0 active extension with a plenum-rated jacket, designed specifically for runs that exceed the 16.5ft passive limit while meeting commercial building-code requirements.
