What It Is

The Cables To Go 40744 is a small metal bracket that clamps onto the fixing screw found above or below an HDMI port. It holds the cable plug firmly in place so vibration or accidental tugs cannot pull it loose. Installers use it on displays, media players or any HDMI-equipped device where a secure connection matters.

Under Sustained Load

Because the lock is a passive mechanical piece with no electronics, its behaviour does not change over time. The screw-down clamp maintains the same retention force indefinitely and there are no thermal or electrical limits to consider. The only wear point is the release tab, which is rated for repeated manual operation.

Installation Notes

Fit the bracket over the HDMI plug, align its hole with the port’s fixing screw and tighten that screw through the bracket. The universal design accepts any standard HDMI cable without adapters. The release tab lets you remove the cable later by depressing the latch while unscrewing. No tools beyond a small screwdriver are required.
