Cast Iron Split Ring Hanger

The Caddy 4550400PL is a cast iron split ring hanger designed for securing 4 inch piping in commercial and industrial installations. It suits mechanical contractors and maintenance teams who need a durable overhead support for heavy pipe runs.

Maximum Outside Diameter 4 1/2 in

The single specification that decides fit is the maximum outside diameter of 4 1/2 inches, matching a 4 inch pipe size. The hanger accepts a 1/2 inch threaded rod and carries a load capacity of 300 lb.

Swivel Loop Installation

A swivel loop design allows the hanger to pivot during alignment, easing installation on uneven structures. The split ring opens to wrap around the pipe without requiring the pipe end to be free. Ensure the threaded rod is securely anchored to handle the rated load.

Questions about this item

How much weight can the 300 lb load capacity actually support once installed?

The hanger is rated for 300 lb when mounted on a 1/2 in threaded rod with a pipe up to 4 1/2 in outside diameter.

What does the 1/2 in threaded rod size mean for the hardware I need?

It accepts a standard 1/2 in threaded rod, so the rod and any nuts or anchors must match that diameter.

Will the 5.375 in overall height and .69 in width fit my mounting space?

The hanger measures 5.375 in tall and .69 in wide, so verify your clearance against those dimensions before ordering.
