Adjustable Mounting Bracket 17 to 26 In

The Caddy TSGB24 is a steel mounting bracket designed to position electrical boxes between wood or metal studs. It suits electricians and installers who need flexible placement for 1 1/2 or 2 1/8 inch deep boxes in residential or commercial framing.

Adjustment Range Limits Placement

The bracket extends from 17 to 26 inches, so it only fits stud bays within that span. Boxes must be 1 1/2 or 2 1/8 inches deep to sit securely on the bracket. The steel construction adds .5 weight units to the assembly.

Verify Stud Spacing and Box Depth

Confirm the distance between your studs falls inside the 17 to 26 inch range before ordering. Ensure the electrical boxes you intend to mount match the supported depths. The bracket can be fixed to the face or the inside of the stud depending on the layout.

The bracket adjusts continuously from 17 to 26 inches, so you set it to the exact stud spacing you have.

What does the 18.400 length figure mean once the bracket is installed?

That is the overall length of the steel bracket itself, giving you the rigid span between the two stud faces.

Which stud types does the steel bracket mount to and what does it cap?

It mounts on the face or inside of wood or metal studs and supports one or more boxes 1 1/2 or 2 1/8 inches deep.
