Solves motherboard fan-header shortage
This hub adds multiple 4-pin fan connections to a system that has too few motherboard headers. It suits builders who want to run several 12 V PWM fans from a single CPU-fan header while keeping cable routing tidy.
SATA power limits motherboard load
The hub draws fan power directly from a SATA connector on the power supply, so the motherboard only carries the PWM control signal. One red header reports speed for a single CPU fan; the remaining black headers provide PWM control without speed feedback.
Only the red header measures speed
Speed monitoring works on just one connected fan, so builders who need RPM data for every fan cannot rely on this hub. It is not for setups that require per-fan speed reporting across all channels.

Questions about this item
How many fans can I connect to this hub?
The hub provides multiple 4-pin PWM headers so you can attach several 12V 3-pin or 4-pin fans at once.
Will my fans still report their speed to the motherboard?
Only the dedicated red header passes a tachometer signal; the black headers do not return speed data.
Does the SATA power connector limit how much current the hub can deliver?
The SATA plug draws 12V directly from the PSU, removing the load from the motherboard header.
