1/2 in Set Screw Connector

This CALBRITE connector joins 1/2 in EMT conduit using a set-screw connection. The body is polished 316 stainless steel with an overall length of 1 5/16 in. It carries a UL listing and is rated for indoor and outdoor use.

Installers running EMT raceways

Electricians and maintenance teams who need a corrosion-resistant transition from conduit to a threaded enclosure will find this fitting suitable. Buyers who require an insulated throat or a compression-style coupling should look at alternative designs.

1/2 in NPT thread size

The male thread is cut to 1/2 in.-14 NPT, which determines whether the connector matches the knockout or hub it must enter. Verifying this thread specification against the mating opening is the single check that confirms fit.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 1/2 in trade size or a different size for my EMT run?

This connector is made for 1/2 in EMT conduit, matching the 0.72 in inside diameter and 1.01 in outside diameter listed for that trade size.

What does the 1-5/16 in overall length mean when I install it?

The 1 5/16 in length is the space the connector occupies along the conduit run, so allow that much clearance in tight boxes or bends.

How does the 1/2 In.-14 NPT thread affect what I can connect to?

The 1/2 In.-14 NPT male thread mates with standard female NPT hubs or couplings, limiting the connection to fittings with the same thread spec.
