Folding stool with 400 lb capacity

The CAMDOOR mz03-10 is a classic folding stool with a 16 inch seat height designed to reduce strain on knees and back. It supports up to 400 lbs using an alloy steel X-frame and tear-resistant Oxford fabric. Weighing 1.5 lb, it folds down to fit inside a backpack and includes a shoulder strap for crossbody carry. Three side pockets provide storage for small essentials.

Check terrain stability and assembly steps

The stool relies on its X-shaped structure for balance on grass, sand or rocky ground, so verify the surface is reasonably level before sitting. Assembly is tool-free and uses elastic shock cords that snap into place; reading the instructions first ensures the cords seat correctly. The unit arrives new and requires this initial setup before first use.

Sustained load performance on varied ground

Under continuous 400 lb loading the carbon steel frame maintains rigidity without permanent deformation, and the Oxford fabric resists tearing during extended sitting sessions. The three side pockets remain accessible and secure whether the stool is used for hours at a campsite, fishing bank or sporting event. Folding and unfolding cycles stay smooth because the shock-cord mechanism does not rely on hinges that can loosen over time.

Questions about this item

Does the mz03-10 stool ship with the shoulder strap and three side pockets already attached, or must they be purchased separately?

The stool includes the shoulder strap and three built-in pockets (front mesh, back, and internal) as standard; nothing extra is required.

How do I decide between the 1.5 lb, 1.6 lb, and 1.7 lb weight figures shown for the same model?

The specification lists 1.5 lb, while the manufacturer notes 1.6 lb and 1.7 lb in different sections; treat the 1.5 lb figure as the baseline and expect the actual weight to fall within this narrow range.

What does the 400 lb capacity mean when I sit on the stool on uneven ground?

The X-shaped carbon-steel frame is tested to 400–500 lb, so it remains stable and supports the full rated load on grass, sand or rocky terrain.
