CMOS Battery for Symbol Handhelds

This new Cameron & Co CMOS battery, model DS-CS-MC7000BU, is a nickel-metal hydride cell rated at 0.02 Ah. It is designed to maintain real-time clock and configuration memory in compatible Symbol mobile computers and CipherLab CP50 and CP55 devices. The green unit arrives in new condition.

Suits IT teams maintaining legacy fleets

It fits the listed Symbol MC70, MC75, MC9100 and MC9500 series part numbers as well as CipherLab CP50 and CP55 units. Organisations running other handheld brands or newer mobile platforms should look elsewhere because the connector and form factor are specific to the models named in the compatibility list.

Capacity and headroom

The 0.02 Ah Ni-MH cell provides enough reserve to keep CMOS settings alive during main battery swaps and extended power-off periods. It is not a main power source and will not run the handheld; runtime for clock retention is limited by the low capacity and the self-discharge characteristics of nickel-metal hydride chemistry.
