Cameron Sino Li-ion replacement battery

This 6.8 Ah lithium-ion pack replaces the original ARRIS BPB044H and BPB044S cells in compatible eMTA and Touchstone gateways. It delivers 7.4 V and 50.32 Wh to keep voice and data services running during mains outages. The black housing matches the factory aesthetic of supported modems.

Thermals and power behaviour

Li-ion chemistry generates minimal heat during the low-current standby discharge typical of gateway backup duty. No active cooling is required and the pack operates silently inside the modem chassis. Normal use draws only the trickle current needed to maintain charge readiness for power-loss events.

Build quality and daily implications

The 144.60 x 46.65 x 30.76 mm form factor slots directly into the battery bay of listed ARRIS TM and TG models without adapters. OEM-compatible connectors ensure a secure fit that resists vibration from fan airflow. Installers should note the app may report "No battery installed" for roughly one week before normal status appears.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DS-CS-ART044RX into my ARRIS TM602G and what step is often missed?

Power off the gateway, open the battery compartment, connect the plug matching the original BPB044H orientation, secure the cover, then wait up to one week for the SurfBoard app to show normal status while the front indicator already lights.

What maintenance will this 6800 mAh Li-ion pack need over its service life?

No routine maintenance is required; the pack is sealed, so replace the entire unit when backup time during outages becomes too short for your needs.

What limit appears first during an extended power cut with this 50.32 Wh battery?

Runtime is the limiting factor; at 7.4 V and 6800 mAh the pack delivers 50.32 Wh, so the gateway will shut down once that energy is depleted.
