Ni-MH Chemistry Thermals and Power

Nickel-metal-hydride chemistry delivers stable voltage across the 14.40 Wh capacity without the thermal runaway risk of lithium types. Normal operation in a desk phone produces negligible heat and silent performance. Self-discharge is low enough for standby readiness over weeks.

7.2 V 2000 mAh Capacity Decides Fit

The 7.2 V 2000 mAh rating is the single figure that confirms compatibility with the listed NEC and ClearOne models. A different voltage or amp-hour value will not power the handset correctly. Verify the original label shows 7.2 V and 2000 mAh before ordering.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DS-CS-CMW592SL battery in my NEC ClearOne 592 handset, and what step do people often miss?

Slide the pack into the battery compartment until the latch clicks, then charge it fully for the first time — the pack ships partially charged and needs that initial cycle to reach full 2000 mAh capacity

What maintenance or replacement will this Ni-MH 7.2 V 2000 mAh pack need later?

Recharge it at least every three months when stored; replace the pack when talk time drops below half of the original runtime, which signals the cells can no longer hold a useful charge

What limit appears first during a long conference call on this 14.40 Wh battery?

The 2000 mAh capacity sets the runtime ceiling — expect the handset to shut down once the pack is depleted, typically after several hours of continuous transmit use
