Questions about this item

Will the 60.90 x 47.60 x 18.30 mm orange pack fit my HBC Radiomatic Patrol D?

Yes, the pack matches the original BA223000 and BA223030 dimensions so it slides into the Patrol D battery compartment without modification.

How do I install the DS-CS-FBA224BL and what step do people skip?

Remove the old pack, align the orange Ni-MH unit's contacts with the tray rails, press firmly until the latch clicks, then charge fully before first use — skipping that initial charge cuts runtime.

When will the 3.6 V 2000 mAh Ni-MH need replacing and how do I tell?

Expect two to three years; replace when a full charge lasts noticeably less than before or the pack feels warm during normal operation.
