Compatible replacement for IRIS ST4ex

This Cameron & Co lithium-ion battery replaces the IRIS 2010-0014 pack used in the ST4ex smart card reader. It delivers 3.7 volts and 1000 milliampere-hours of capacity in a white-grey housing. The cell is brand new and built to match the original equipment specifications. It suits technicians or owners needing a direct swap for a depleted unit.

Steady output during extended reading sessions

The 3.7 watt-hour rating supports continuous operation while the reader processes cards without the voltage sag seen in aged cells. Lithium-ion chemistry maintains a stable discharge curve across the full cycle. This helps the terminal complete long batches without unexpected shutdowns. Performance stays consistent until the pack reaches its natural end of charge.

Simple drop-in installation with correct orientation

The pack measures 52.93 by 32.52 by 7.61 millimetres and slides into the ST4ex battery compartment without modification. Polarity marks on the label must align with the device contacts to avoid damage. No soldering or firmware steps are required. The only common issue is inserting the cell reversed, which prevents the reader from powering on.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the DS-CS-IST04MB generate during continuous all-day use in an IRIS ST4ex reader?

Li-ion chemistry keeps self-heating low; the 3.7 V 1000 mAh cell stays near ambient temperature during normal scan cycles.

What existing hardware must I already own for this replacement cell to function?

An IRIS ST4ex smart card reader that accepts the original 2010-0014 pack; the battery slides into the same compartment.

Will the 52.93 x 32.52 x 7.61 mm form factor fit alongside the older IRIS 2010-0014 battery I keep as a spare?

Dimensions match the 2010-0014 exactly, so both packs sit in the reader bay or storage slot without interference.
