Compatible replacement battery

This Cameron & Co DS-CS-MKT102PW battery replaces the original Makita 678102-6 pack for models 6041D, 6041DW, 6043D and 6043DWK. It delivers 4.8 V and 1.5 Ah capacity using Ni-MH chemistry in a black housing. The unit is supplied new and matches the OEM form factor.

Ni-MH chemistry limits

Nickel-metal hydride cells self-discharge faster than lithium types and lose capacity if stored fully charged for long periods. They perform best when cycled regularly and kept at moderate temperatures. The 1500 mAh rating determines runtime per charge on the supported tools.

Check tool model and connector

Verify your power tool is one of the four listed Makita models before ordering. Confirm the original battery part number is 678102-6 to ensure the connector and polarity match. The physical dimensions are 87.91 x 46.00 x 22.70 mm for reference.

Questions about this item

How do I know if the DS-CS-MKT102PW fits my Makita drill?

The DS-CS-MKT102PW replaces part number 678102-6 and fits Makita models 6041D, 6041DW, 6043D and 6043DWK.

What does the 1.5 Ah rating mean for runtime on a 4.8 V tool?

A 1.5 Ah pack delivers roughly one hour of use at a steady 1.5 A draw; heavier loads shorten runtime proportionally.

Does the Ni-MH chemistry limit charging speed or memory effect?

Ni-MH cells accept standard-rate charging and show minimal memory effect if occasionally fully discharged before recharge.
