18 V 6 Ah Li-ion battery for Makita tools

This Cameron & Co DS-CS-MKT185PX battery delivers 18 V and 6 Ah capacity using lithium-ion chemistry. It is built as a direct replacement for Makita BL1830, BL1850B and BL1860B packs and fits chargers such as the DC18RC and DC18RD.

Suitable for owners of listed Makita cordless tools

The pack works with the extensive range of Makita models shown in the compatibility list, covering drills, drivers, saws, grinders and blowers. Users whose equipment is not on that list, or who need a different voltage or chemistry, should look at other options.

6 Ah capacity at 18 V

The 6 Ah rating at 18 V determines how long the tool runs between charges and whether the pack fits the device's power requirements. Match this figure to the original battery specification to confirm it is the correct part.

Questions about this item

Does the DS-CS-MKT185PX come with a charger or do I need to buy one separately?

The battery is supplied on its own; a compatible Makita 18 V charger such as the DC18RC or DC18RD must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the 6 Ah version or a lower-capacity 18 V pack for longer runtime?

The 6 Ah capacity gives the longest runtime among 18 V packs; choose it when maximum operating time per charge is the priority.

How does the 6 Ah rating translate to actual runtime on tools like the BDF453 or BGA452?

A 6 Ah pack delivers roughly twice the runtime of a 3 Ah pack on the same tool, so the BDF453 drill or BGA452 grinder will run significantly longer per charge.
