Makita-compatible 9.6 V Ni-MH battery

This 9.6 V 3000 mAh nickel-metal-hydride pack replaces original Makita batteries for tools such as the 6207D, 6222D, 6226D, 6503D and 6908D series. It fits models including the BMR100 radio and DA392D angle drill. The red housing matches the OEM colour scheme.

Thermals noise and power draw

Ni-MH chemistry delivers steady current with minimal self-heating during typical drilling or driving tasks. No active cooling is required and the pack runs silently. Voltage remains stable across the 3 Ah capacity until near depletion.

Bundled accessories and software

The package contains only the single battery unit; no charger, case or firmware is included. Compatibility with part numbers 192697-A, 9120, 9135 and 9135A means existing Makita chargers can be used without modification. Buyers needing a multi-pack or rapid charger must source those separately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DS-CS-MKT690PX into a Makita 6207D drill, and what step is often missed?

Slide the 9.6 V 3000 mAh Ni-MH pack into the tool’s battery cavity until the latches click; the step often missed is fully seating both side clips so the contacts align with the 192697-A terminals.

What maintenance will this 9.6 V 3000 mAh Ni-MH pack need over its life?

Store at roughly half charge in a cool dry place, recharge every few months to prevent deep discharge, and keep the red casing contacts clean with a dry cloth.

What limit appears first during sustained high-drain use of this 3000 mAh Ni-MH battery?

Voltage sag under heavy load reduces effective run-time before the pack reaches its low-voltage cutoff, especially in tools like the 6908D or 6990D series.
