SKU CH-H1PQ-MTKCX MPN DS-CS-MKT830PD

18 V 6 Ah lithium-ion replacement battery for a wide range of Makita power tools

  • 6 Ah capacity powers tools longer
  • Li-ion chemistry delivers consistent output
  • Fits Makita 18 V platform tools
  • Replaces original BL1840B, BL1850B, BL1860B packs
  • Compatible with BHP450, BHR202, BGA452 series

Compatible 18 V 6 Ah Li-ion battery

This 18 V 6 Ah lithium-ion battery replaces Makita part numbers 194205-3, 194309-1 and 197422-4. It fits the BL1840B, BL1850B and BL1860B series cells. The pack is built for users who need a direct-fit replacement for cordless tools on the 18 V platform.

Sustained output on the 18 V platform

The 6 Ah capacity supports longer run-times on drills, drivers, saws and blowers that draw steady current. Tools such as the BHP450, BHR240 and BGA452 series maintain consistent speed through extended cuts or fastening cycles without the voltage sag common on lower-capacity packs.

Thermal behaviour and power draw

Lithium-ion chemistry keeps self-discharge low during storage and limits heat build-up under continuous load. The pack runs cool enough for back-to-back tasks on BDF450, BFR550 and BCS550 models, and it recharges on standard Makita 18 V chargers without special handling.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 18 V 6 Ah lithium-ion pack generate during a full day of drilling?

The 18 V 6 Ah lithium-ion chemistry runs cool under continuous load; normal warmth is expected but excess heat indicates a tool or cell issue.

Which Makita tool models must I already own for the DS-CS-MKT830PD to work?

It fits Makita 18 V LXT tools such as the BDF450, BHP451, BHR202, BGA452, BGD800, BCL180 and many others listed in the compatibility data.

Will the 6 Ah pack run older 18 V LXT tools like the BDF450 or BHP451 without problems?

Yes, the 18 V 6 Ah pack is backward-compatible with earlier 18 V LXT models including the BDF450 and BHP451, delivering longer run-time per charge.
