Battery for Casio and Rollei cameras

The Cameron & Co DS-CS-NP40CA is a lithium-ion replacement battery rated at 1.23 Ah. It fits a wide range of Casio Exilim compact cameras and the Rollei Movieline SD50 camcorder. The cell is supplied new and ready for immediate use.

Capacity and daily shooting headroom

A 1.23 Ah cell typically powers several hundred still images or extended video clips on compatible models such as the Exilim EX-Z30 or EX-Z450. Heavy flash use, continuous movie recording or cold weather will reduce the practical runtime between charges.

Upgrade path and when to buy

This battery replaces an exhausted original NP-40 type pack in the listed Casio and Rollei devices. It is not suitable for cameras that require a higher-capacity pack or a different physical form factor.

Questions about this item

Will the 1.23 Ah DS-CS-NP40CA work in my Casio Exilim EX-Z1080 alongside the original NP-40 charger?

Yes, the 1.23 Ah lithium-ion pack replaces the NP-40 and NP-40DBA cells used in the EX-Z1080 and charges in the standard Casio charger supplied with that camera.

How can I confirm the battery is delivering its rated 1.23 Ah after the first charge?

Insert it into a compatible model such as the EX-Z1080 or EX-FC150, fully charge, then record the number of shots or video minutes until shutdown; the count should match the runtime you previously achieved with a genuine NP-40.

Does the package include a charger or only the 1.23 Ah battery itself?

Only the DS-CS-NP40CA battery is supplied; a compatible Casio or third-party NP-40 charger must be purchased separately if you do not already own one.
