Compatible Battery for Retevis Handhelds

The Cameron & Co DS-CS-RTV220TW is a lithium-ion replacement cell built for Retevis two-way radios including the DT22, RT15, RT19, RT22, RT22S, RT619 and RT622 models. It replaces original part numbers BL19 and BL22X-Longer and is supplied new with 100 percent OEM compatibility. The black pack measures 53.78 by 34.05 by 4.80 millimetres.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The 3.7 volt 950 milliampere-hour cell stores 3.52 watt-hours and delivers a steady 0.95 ampere-hours during typical voice transmissions. Lithium-ion chemistry keeps self-discharge low and generates minimal heat while the radio is in standby or during normal push-to-talk cycles. No active cooling is required and the pack adds no audible noise to the handset.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous transmit duty the battery maintains its rated voltage until the protection circuit cuts off at the safe lower limit. Capacity remains stable across repeated charge cycles thanks to the lithium-ion design. Users who need longer talk time than 950 milliampere-hours provides or who require a multi-bay charger will need additional packs or accessories.

Questions about this item

How do I fit the DS-CS-RTV220TW into my Retevis RT22 and what step is often missed?

No scheduled maintenance is required; when run-time drops noticeably, replace the pack with another DS-CS-RTV220TW unit.

What limit appears first during a long transmission session?

The 3.52 Wh capacity sets the maximum continuous talk time before the voltage drops and the radio powers down.
