Purpose & compatibility

This lithium-polymer replacement battery powers compatible Sportdog training collars including the SD-1225, SD-1225E, SD-1825E and SDT54-13923 transmitters. It delivers 7.4 V and 470 mAh capacity in a black casing measuring 34.90 x 26.24 x 13.55 mm. Buyers needing a different voltage or a larger capacity for extended field sessions cannot use this pack.

Sustained behaviour

The 3.48 Wh cell maintains a steady output during long training periods rather than fading after a short burst. Internal resistance stays low so the transmitter receives consistent voltage throughout the session. Users who require continuous operation for many hours without recharging will find the runtime limited by the 0.47 Ah rating.

Thermals, noise & power

Li-Polymer chemistry runs cool and silent during normal use, adding no audible noise to the training environment. The compact cell draws only the current the transmitter demands, keeping power consumption minimal. There is no fan or moving part, so heat and sound remain negligible in typical conditions.

Questions about this item

Does the Li-Polymer 7.4V 470mAh pack run warm or drain quickly during all-day training sessions?

The 3.48 Wh cell is sized for typical field use; Li-Polymer chemistry keeps self-discharge low and heat minimal during normal transmitter operation.

Which Sportdog transmitter models must I already own for this SAC00-12615 replacement to fit?

It fits the SD-1225, SD-1225E, SD-1825E and SDT54-13923 handheld transmitters listed in the compatibility data.

Will the 34.90 x 26.24 x 13.55 mm black housing sit flush in an older SD-1225 transmitter?

Yes, the dimensions match the original SAC00-12615 battery so the door closes properly on legacy units.
