Cameron & Co DS-CS-SEC944MD Battery

The Cameron & Co DS-CS-SEC944MD is a 7.2V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery built for Seca medical scales. It fits a wide range of models including the 200, 229, 645, 665, 682, 706, 728, 757, 927, 944, 955, 958, 959 and 985 series as well as Waage 909, 910, 911, 9442 and 949 units. The green pack measures 51.75 x 43.72 x 29.30 mm and delivers 14.40 Wh of energy. It replaces original part numbers such as BA-A921-CA, PA-A1994-19081 and PA-A921-BK.

Upgrading from depleted Ni-MH cells

This battery replaces worn original packs that no longer hold a full charge or that show reduced run time between charges. The jump is worth it when the scale shuts down unexpectedly during weighing sessions or when the low-battery indicator appears shortly after a full charge cycle. It restores the original 7.2V 2000mAh specification without requiring hardware changes. It is not for users who need a higher voltage chemistry or a larger capacity pack than the factory rating.

14.40 Wh capacity for daily clinical use

The 14.40 Wh capacity comfortably handles routine weighing tasks across a full shift in typical clinical environments. It powers the scale display and load-cell electronics for extended periods between charges. Runtime decreases when the scale backlight is kept at maximum brightness or when the device is used continuously without standby intervals. The pack runs out when the stored charge is exhausted after prolonged heavy use or after many charge cycles have reduced the effective capacity below the rated 2000mAh.

Questions about this item

Will the 51.75 x 43.72 x 29.30 mm green pack fit my Seca 944 scale?

Yes, the DS-CS-SEC944MD is listed as compatible with the Seca 944 and matches the original BA-A921-CA dimensions.

How do I install the Ni-MH cell without damaging the contacts?

Slide the pack into the battery compartment until the polarised connector clicks; forcing it backwards bends the pins.

When should I replace the 7.2 V 2000 mAh Ni-MH battery?

Replace it when run-time drops below half of the original 14.40 Wh capacity or the pack no longer holds a full charge.
