Compatible ARRIS cable-modem replacement

This nickel-zinc battery pack replaces the original BPB044H and BPB044S cells used in ARRIS Touchstone TM7, TM8, MG5000, MG5220, SVG2482AC, TG1662, TG1672, WBM760A, WTM552, WTM552G and WTM652G cable modems. It delivers the same 7.4 V output and 6800 mAh capacity so the modem retains voice and data service during mains outages. The fully decoded chip communicates with the host exactly as the factory unit did.

Built-in protection and decoded chip

The pack integrates over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short-circuit safeguards that the original circuitry expects, preventing damage to both the battery and the modem. A new fully decoded chip reports authentic status data to the device firmware, eliminating compatibility warnings or false capacity readings. Shock-absorbing foam in the retail box protects the cells from impact during transit and handling.

6800 mAh capacity for extended backup

At 50.32 Wh the pack powers a compatible eMTA for multiple hours of talk time and internet access when utility power fails, covering typical short-duration outages. Runtime scales with the number of active voice lines and data sessions, so heavy multi-line usage will deplete the reserve faster. The nickel-zinc chemistry maintains stable voltage under load but does not suit applications requiring higher energy density or faster recharge cycles.
