The Cameron Sino NP-FM50 is a 1300mAh lithium-ion pack built to the same electrical and mechanical specifications as the original Sony battery. It fits a long list of Handycam and Digital8 models including the CCD-TR108, CCD-TR208, CCD-TR408, HVR-A1 series and MVC-CD200 through MVC-CD500. The 7.4 V cell weighs 75 g and measures 55.70 x 38.40 x 20.50 mm.

Protections and decoded chip

The cell includes overcharge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short-circuit protection circuits. A fully decoded chip communicates with the camcorder exactly like the factory pack, so remaining-capacity readouts and charge control work normally.
