Single-cell lithium-ion chemistry defines

The pack stores 1700mAh at a nominal 3.7 volts. Capacity and voltage are fixed by the cell chemistry and cannot be increased without changing the physical size. The battery reaches its best performance after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles. Using a low-quality charger will shorten the usable life of the cell.

Slim profile with integrated protection circuits

The battery measures 86.17 by 49.05 by 3.90 millimetres and weighs 35.0 grams. Overcharge, over-discharge, over-voltage and short-circuit protection are built into the pack. The connector must be seated correctly during installation. Do not disassemble, expose to fire or water, or store above 60 degrees Celsius.

Questions about this item

Is this the right battery for my Zen Touch 20GB or 40GB player?

Yes — it replaces Creative part numbers BA20603R79901 and DAA-BA0004 and fits the DAP-HD0014, Labs Nomad Jukebox ZenTouch, Zen Touch 20GB and Zen Touch 40GB models.

What runtime can I expect from the 1700mAh capacity?

The 1700mAh lithium-ion cell matches the original specification; actual play time depends on screen brightness, codec and volume, but it restores the player to its factory runtime.

Does the 3.7V rating work with the player's charging circuit?

The 3.7 volt nominal voltage is identical to the original battery, so the player's built-in charger and protection circuitry operate normally.
