2600mAh Capacity Rating

Capacity is the single figure that determines whether this battery meets the runtime requirement of the collar. The pack stores 2600mAh at 3.7V, which equals 9.6Wh of energy. No other specification in the data sheet governs the fit-for-purpose decision.

Sustained Discharge Behaviour

Lithium-ion chemistry delivers a steady voltage plateau through most of the discharge cycle. The 80g cell maintains output until the protection circuit cuts off near the end of capacity. Performance does not drop sharply after a short burst.

Questions about this item

How long will the 2600mAh capacity last in my Garmin DC20 during a typical hunting trip?

The 2600mAh cell stores 9.6Wh at 3.7V; actual runtime varies with GPS update rate, temperature and signal strength, but it matches the original Garmin 010-10806-00 energy rating.

What connector does the battery use and will it plug straight into the DC40?

It uses the same proprietary connector as the Garmin 361-00029-00 pack, so it fits the DC20, DC30, DC40 and Astro System DC20 without adapters.

Will the 66.00 x 18.35mm size fit the battery compartment on my Astro System DC20?

Yes, the 66.00mm length and 18.35mm diameter match the OEM dimensions exactly, and the 80g weight is identical to the factory cell.
