Compatible Camera Models

The Canon CA-PS700 AC adapter powers the PowerShot S80, S2 IS and S1 IS cameras through a compatible DC coupler. It replaces battery operation for studio work, long events or time-lapse sequences where continuous mains power is preferred.

Input Voltage Range

The adapter accepts 100 to 240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz, making it suitable for worldwide travel without a separate voltage converter. It draws standard mains power and delivers the regulated DC output the camera requires.

DC Coupler Requirement

This unit does not connect directly to the camera; it requires a Canon DC coupler matched to the specific PowerShot model. Buyers who do not already own the correct coupler cannot use the adapter.

Questions about this item

Will the CA-PS700 power my Canon S80, S2 IS and S1 IS cameras together with their existing DC couplers?

The CA-PS700 is designed for the S80, S2 IS and S1 IS and fits select Canon DC couplers, so it will power each of those models when the correct coupler is attached.

How can I confirm the CA-PS700 is delivering power correctly once I connect it?

When the adapter is plugged into 100-240V 50/60Hz mains and linked to a compatible DC coupler, the camera powers on and runs without drawing from its internal battery, confirming normal operation.

Does the CA-PS700 package include a DC coupler for the S80, or must I buy that separately?

The adapter itself is supplied alone; a compatible DC coupler for the S80, S2 IS or S1 IS is not included and must be purchased separately.
