Wide-Angle Zoom for Canon EOS

The Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM is an ultra-wide zoom lens built for full-frame and APS-C Canon EOS DSLRs. It covers a 16-35mm focal range with a constant f/4 maximum aperture, making it suitable for landscape, architecture and interior photography where a broad field of view is essential.

Weather-Sealed L-Series Construction

The lens barrel is highly resistant to dust and water intrusion, allowing use in harsh outdoor conditions. An inner focus system keeps the overall length constant during focusing, while a fluorine coating on the front and rear elements repels smudges and simplifies cleaning.

Constant f/4 Aperture with Stabilisation

Optical image stabilisation provides up to four stops of shake correction, helping handheld shooting at slower shutter speeds. The nine-blade circular aperture produces smooth background blur, and full-time manual focus override allows precise adjustments without leaving autofocus mode.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the 77 mm filter thread and what step is often missed?

Screw the filter onto the 77 mm front thread; the step often missed is removing the protective cap first.

What maintenance will the fluorine coating on the front element need later?

Clean the fluorine coating with a microfiber cloth and lens fluid; the coating resists smudges but still requires occasional gentle wiping.

At what focal length does the 108.1-degree angle of view appear?

The 108.1-degree angle of view occurs at the 16 mm wide end of the zoom range.
