Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM Bundle

This new Canon L-series ultra wide-angle prime lens ships with a pouch, cap keeper and cleaning kit. The fixed 14mm focal length and bright f/2.8 maximum aperture suit landscape, interior and astrophotography work. Two aspherical and two ultra-low dispersion elements control aberrations for high sharpness and colour accuracy.

Photographers needing 14mm on EF mount

The lens fits full-frame Canon EF-mount DSLRs and provides a 22.4mm equivalent on APS-C models. Weather sealing supports use in harsh conditions. Buyers who need zoom flexibility or a different focal length should consider other options.

f/2.8 maximum aperture

This single specification determines low-light capability and depth-of-field control. The bright aperture enables shorter exposures for astrophotography and interior scenes. Ring-type USM with internal focusing delivers quick, quiet autofocus and full-time manual override.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 14mm f/2.8L II USM focuses correctly after mounting it?

Attach the lens to a Canon EF-mount body, set the focus switch to AF, and half-press the shutter on a detailed subject; the ring-type USM should drive focus quickly and silently, and the distance scale will move smoothly if the internal focusing mechanism is working.

Which accessories are included in the bundle and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM lens, front and rear caps, a LP1016 soft case, a lens pouch, a cap keeper, and a cleaning kit; filters and a hood are not included and must be bought separately.

Should I choose this 14mm prime or a zoom covering the same focal length?

This L-series prime delivers a constant f/2.8 aperture, two aspherical and two ultra-low dispersion elements, and weather sealing — advantages for low-light, astrophotography, and harsh conditions that variable-aperture zooms typically cannot match.
